On the 30th of October, Than Hsiang Kindergarten and Childcare Centre celebrated its 13th annual graduation ceremony. About 155 of the little tots happily took to the stage to receive their certificates, with their proud parents on hand to cheer them on as well as enjoying their children's song and dance performance, which were also part of the programme festivities. The children, who have been rehearsing for a few months, gave their best performance, showing their gratitude for the love and support they received from their parents and teachers.

The graduation ceremony began at about 2.00 pm and was held at the Multi Purpose Hall, located on the 5 th floor of Than Hsiang Temple. Ven. Wei Wu marked the opening of the ceremony by delivering a short speech, which was then followed by a welcoming speech by the principal of Than Hsiang Kindergarten, Mdm. Tan Kim Nai.

Ven. Wei Wu spoke on the emphasis of children's education, with reference to one of Than Hsiang Convictions; the young to learn. Than Hsiang kindergarten strive to improve by using the best approach, knowledge and environment to help the children develop an excellent learning attitude.

The kindergarten teachers, with full support from the government preschool programme, conduct and implement a well-rounded programme in a warm, secure and stimulating environment, in order for the little ones to grow into confident, creative, successful and happy individuals.

In order to accomplish all these changes in the learning programme, Than Hsiang kindergarten teachers are also taking up certified courses to upgrade their teaching skills and knowledge.
