100 Million Mani Mantra Puja @ Tham Wah Wan

The six-syllable mantra “ Om Mani Padme Hum “ is the heart mantra of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Guan Yin) and the essence of the Buddha's. The Mantra embodies perfect compassion, and is the core of the 84,000 teachings of all the Buddha.

This year Mani puja was jointly organised by Tham Wah Wan Temple and Ratnashri Centre to provide an opportunity for participants to engaged in spiritual development through recitation of this powerful mantra. May their devotion and compassion contribute towards world peace, prosperity and better health for all sentient beings.

The KL session began on the 3rd of December. We missed the presence of His Eminence Drubwang Riponche as he was indisposed and had to cancel the trip.

All participants prayed and through their incessant recitation wishing his eminence early recovery and good health; and that he may return next year to us in the quest for enlightenment.

In the afternoon of 5th of December Ven. Guo Neng conducted the "Meng Shan" - penitent service ceremony. The merits accrued from the ceremony will be transferred to all beings to enable them to be reborn in pureland.

Though the participants are fewer than the past year but the enthusiasm and devotion was encouraging, reflecting the bodhicitta inherent in every one of us.

The assembly ended at 10pm on 7th of December. His Eminence blessed all present and everyone was filled with joy of Dharma and looked forwards to take part in next year's session. Finally we would like to thank all volunteers, without whom we can never bring the event to a smooth conclusion. We are most grateful for their contribution. May they be blessed with the triple Gem.
