2026 Than Hsiang Kindergarten Cleansing and Blessing Ceremony

At the beginning of year 2026, Than Hsiang kindergarten once again welcomed all the children back to school. For those children who are new to the kindergarten, starting to get ready to joined the kindergarten with curiosity and anticipation, marking the brand new journey of growth.

Cleansing ceremony means sprinkling purified water and offered deep blessings. Most Venerable Wei Wu , once explained during the kindergarten cleansing ceremony: the purpose of the cleansing ceremony is to bestow blessings upon everyone present. Most Venerable Wei Wu also expressed the hope that, under the care and support of teachers, Ai Xin Ma ma and Ai Xin drivers, every child may “go to school happily and return home safely.”

Thus, to welcome the new academic year, Than Hsiang Kindergarten Bayan Baru Headquarters, including other branches each held a cleansing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Than Hsiang Abbot, Venerable Zhen Sheng. The chanting of the Great Compassion Mantra and the Heart Sutra was supported by the Brahma Voice Group. The arrangements were as follows:

• Than Hsiang Kindergarten (Farlim Branch) on January 12, 2026
• Than Hsiang Kindergarten (Headquarters) and Than Hsiang Kindergarten(Sungai Ara
Branch) on January 13, 2026
• Than Hsiang Kindergarten (Bukit Mertajam Branch) on January 16, 2026

A new year symbolized a new beginning and a new starting point. With the ceremony of Cleansing and blessing by the Than Hsiang Abbot, Venerable Zhen Sheng, all Than Hsiang Kindergarten (Headquarters and other branches) have officially commenced classes.

Than Hsiang Kindergarten has always upheld the principle of “For the young to learn” and has built a warm and positive environment which is filled with love and confidence for the children in order to promote a balanced development in the moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic aspects of their education. Hopefully this pure blessing will accompany the children, guiding them to grow in health and happiness throughout the new semester.
