Than Hsiang Lay Sangha Members Gathering

On 18 November 2023, Than Hsiang lay sangha members had a blissful and memorable gathering at Pantai Esen.  We gathered at the entrance of Pantai Esen at 7.30am.  Everyone brought some food for our picnic at the beach.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning. The azure blue sky was scattered with fluffy white clouds and the spectrum of lights formed a beautiful rainbow in the sky.   Pantai Esen has a wide sandy beach and a coconut- tree-coastline. There was a huge significant tree trunk and many big boulders with strange shapes sculptured by the sea water.

Sister Lyne Foong led us with Taichi warm-up exercise followed by breakfast.   We did our morning chanting at the beach. We had an ecstatic chanting session that blended with waves hitting on the rocks! After that we had some games like passing the ball around at the beach. It was a morning full of joy and laughter.

At about 11.30 am the gathering was dismissed.

Continue diligently in the path studying the Buddha's teachings and listening to the Dharma.
