Than Hsiang Kindergarten, by incorporating a holistic and motivational approach in its child education conception, promotes a balanced and wholesome physical, intellectual, spiritual, social and emotional development of early childhood in a safe and caring environment.

In collaboration with the celebration of Ninth Lunar vegetarian festival from 29/9 till 7/10, Than Hsiang temple, Wan Chin Yuen and Mitra Welfare Center will be organizing vegetarian charity sales , in their bid to encourage more people to be vegetarians while supporting welfare and education enterprises.

Than Hsiang temple will be launching its annual charity sales of Vegetarian moon cakes from the 1st day of the Lunar seventh moon (1st August 2008) in aid of fund raising for the International Buddhist college foundation and at the same time to promote the practice of giving vegetarian moon cakes as gifts during the mid-autumn moon cake festival.

The seventh lunar month is the month when Chinese observe the tradition of ancestor worship or Ulambana in remembrance of their departed. This is in line with paying respect and inculcating the much-revered virtue of filial piety to one’s ancestors.
