Sungai Petani Than Hsiang Kindergarten held a two-day Children’s Camp in the weekends from 26 to 27 May.

Registration for participators began from 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. followed by an opening ceremony led by teacher Wu. In his opening speech teacher Wu touched on the objective and rules of the camp.

Actvities on the first day included morning chanting, lectures on basic Buddhist etiquettes, storytelling session , drama, coloring, handcraft, singing, movie sharing as well as group activities such as dances with sign language and games.

On the second day, a touching session was arranged where the children had a warm interaction with senior citizens from the Than Hsiang Jing Yuan in Sungai Petani. Besides, the children tried to make rice dumplings and fed their parents later with an aim to express gratitude to their parents. A photo slideshow at 4.30 p.m.
provided parents present with information about their kids’ activities during the two-day camp. Before the camp ended at 6.00 p.m., souvenirs were distributed to the children as a sign of encouragement followed by the rice dumpling feeding session .
