If you have problem to update your channels in Sopcast Plaer (Ubuntu 9.X), you may try to change the default Channel Guide

from: http://www.sopcast.com/gchlxml
to: http://www.sopcast.cn/gchlxml or http://channel.sopcast.com/gchlxml

Open Channel Quide from Menu --> Edit --> Preferences
